Hi, Im Roisin Nicholson

About Roisin

My journey to becoming a babyloss therapist began when my first baby boy was stillborn. Later, I also experienced a miscarriage before going on to have two healthy children.

Those pregnancies after loss were filled with anxiety, fear and the constant terror that history would repeat itself. I dreaded appointments and had a fear of the scan room. I know first hand what it's like to struggle with bonding with your baby because you're afraid of another heartbreak.

This personal experience, combined with my professional training in person-centered experiential therapy, allows me to provide evidence based support that comes from a place of deep understanding and compassion.

My Approach

My person-centered approach means you lead the way in your counselling journey. I believe that you are the expert on your own experience, and my role is to provide a warm, down to earth and nonjudgmental space where you can explore your feelings without fear of being told to "move on" or that "everything happens for a reason."

We'll work together to develop practical tools specific to you for managing grief, anxiety, and processing those complex emotions. If you're pregnant again, we'll find ways that work for you to navigate your anxiety while creating space to bond with your baby when you're ready

Outside of Work

When I'm not supporting clients, you'll find me spending time outdoors with my kids, at the gym, hiking in nature, reading a good book or planning my next travel adventure. I believe in the healing power of movement and connection with the natural world as it supported me so much after my son died.
